“Probably the First Hong Kong Soul Female Singer” - Watt. Asia (January 2012)
Born in Hong Kong in 1988, she first picked up piano training at the age of six and has performed regularly in public. It was not long before she identified her true passion for singing. In 2011, she decided to dedicate her life to a career in music. She received positive review for her soulful rendition of the jazz standard Summer Time at Watt.Asia. This led to her debut performance at the local musical landmark Peel Fresco Music Lounge in 2012, followed by a series of gigs in Hong Kong and China, including an invitation for her to host a mini concert at FullCup Café, and to perform as the only solo female vocalist at the Hong Kong Green Jazz Festival 2012.
Besides leading her own project, she has also collaborated in live performances and recordings with the local fusion group Dragon Ensemble and international artists CallumMcKenzie (New Your), Mike Inot (Philipine), Shaga (North Africa), Din (Singapore), Vivian Chow (Taiwan) and Tatsuya Datye (Japan).
Her original composition, “Tempted”, was produced by Wood Kong and Eric Chu and was recently released. Her voice could also be heard in television commercials for companies such as Watson’s.
