Violinist YT
She has been playing the violin, viola and piano since the age of four, and has since been invited to perform as a soloist for many VIPs including then Deputy Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Dr Tony Tan and war veteran Elizabeth Choy. In 2003, Yingtse earned the ABRSM graded examinations Top Scorer title in Singapore. Pursuing her keen interest in violin, she obtained the DipABRSM in Violin Performance and later studied music as an "O" level subject. She joined the Singapore National Youth Orchestra (SNYO) as a 1st violinist at age 12. Over the years with the SNYO, she performed with them on many occasions including Presidential events at the Istana, public performances at the Esplanade and participating in the National Day Parade. In 2005, she represented Singapore with the SNYO in the 34th Youth and Music Festival Competition in Vienna, where they won 1st prize in the Symphony Orchestra category.
