A Festive Lunar New Year Experience Crafted by Ooffle

Engaged by SCCCI (Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry), Ooffle delivered a full-scale festive event production to celebrate the Chinese New Year 2025 at the SCCCI premises. Designed as a vibrant cultural showcase, the event combined traditional Lunar New Year symbolism with structured event planning, immersive décor, live performances, and seamless programme management—creating a welcoming and celebratory environment for guests, partners, and members.

Anchored by strong visual theming and meticulous execution, the celebration transformed both indoor and outdoor spaces into a cohesive festive landscape that reflected prosperity, renewal, and togetherness—core values of the Lunar New Year.

Festive Concept Development & Visual Identity

Ooffle led the planning and creative development, working around a client-provided Key Visual (KV) to build a complete festive environment. The scope included:

• Overall event concept and thematic framework

• Programme structure and event timeline development

• Visual adaptation across all event zones and materials

• Branding and design for main backdrops, holding signs, and event-related visuals (with up to two rounds of revisions)

This ensured a consistent visual language across the entire venue while respecting SCCCI’s institutional identity.

Venue Transformation & Scenic Setup

To accommodate the scale of the celebration, Ooffle constructed and styled multiple tented and open-air zones:

Main Tent Area

• Red-and-white dome tent (30ft × 20ft × 11ftH) with white canopy and red column wraps

• Transparent side curtains, white interior lining, and LED lighting

• 5m-wide welcoming entrance gate

• Cooling fans and lantern hanging support for festive comfort and atmosphere

Linkway Tent Areas

• A-frame tents of varying sizes with lighting and red column wraps

• Designed to support guest circulation and activity flow

Additional scenic elements included:

• Neon arches positioned at entry and exit points, accompanied by lantern-lined walkways

• Large-scale and small-scale 2D cut-out decorations placed strategically within the landscape

• Roadside red anti-slip platforms and central red carpet treatment for ceremonial emphasis

Decorative Details & Guest Environment

The festive environment was enriched with layered decorative and furniture elements, including:

• Lantern installations across the hall and foyer areas

• Photo props and themed backdrops for guest engagement

• Custom stall rentals (including food stalls and tassel stalls)

• Table centrepieces, potted plants, and coordinated furniture layouts

• Cocktail tables, round tables, seating arrangements, and AV-area furnishings

Together, these elements created a visually rich and functional space that encouraged interaction while maintaining crowd comfort.

Performances & Festive Entertainment

To bring the Lunar New Year spirit to life, Ooffle curated and managed traditional performances, including:

• God of Fortune performances by two performers over multiple sessions

• Special effects such as confetti moments and CO₂ “hotpot” visual effects

• Handheld and 3D festive props to enhance interaction and photo moments

These performances added cultural authenticity and celebratory energy to the programme.

Hosting, Programme & Technical Management

Ooffle provided full hosting and showflow management, including:

• Professional emcee services for both rehearsal and event day

• Detailed programme scheduling and cue management

• On-site coordination with all third-party vendors

• Deployment of a project manager, show caller, and event crew

The AV setup supported the programme with microphones, LED screen integration, lighting, and laptops to ensure smooth transitions throughout the event.
