Seletar Mall Chinese New Year 2020 Activation @ Seletar Mall

Celebrate the New Year with 4 Exciting Chinese New Year Themed Activities for the Whole Family. The Seletar Mall is celebrating Chinese New Year with plenty of excitement for everyone.

Located in the atrium of the shopping mall is a massive Chinese New Year event with activities that are suitable for the whole family to gather and have fun. It was Chinese New Year at Seletar Mall in 2020, and this time it was even more exciting! In addition to the standard CNY decorations, we had a Chinese pavilion and 4 booths in it.

The first station is “Fishing for Gold”, where you can try your hand at fishing for gold coins at the interactive fishing pond. The Fishing for Gold station was a digital interactive fishing pond where you catch 'gold' coins, but stay away from fishes. 

The second station is the Wheel of Prosperity. The Wheel of Prosperity was a huge circular human treadmill where you ran to obtain 'gold' coins. At this particular wheel, you don’t spin it and hope for the best. You get into the wheel and run until your instincts tell you to stop.

Have a wish? Why not toss some coins into the Lucky Coin Well? The Lucky Coin Well was a game of coin tossing into a water well. Oh, did I mention that these gold coins on the tree aren’t simply there for decoration? Contained within are prizes to be won, including SPH Malls vouchers, bubble tea and more!

And finally, the Tree of Wealth where participants will have a great time trying to shake golden coins onto the ground. The Tree of Wealth was a gold coloured tree from which prize vouchers fell of like leaves when you shook it.

If that wasn't enough, we also had several rounds of workshops such as: Ball Flower Making, Chinese Zodiac Clay Art & Fortune Cat Globe. What a happening Chinese New Year at Seletar Mall! See you next time!
