A*STAR CLF x MPTC CONFERENCE 2022 @ INNOVIS TOWER

Renowned local research and development organisation, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), held their annual CLF and MPTC Conference 2022 at Innovis Tower. The 4-day conference organised by SIMTech, an institute of A*STAR, invited industry speakers to showcase Singapore’s adoption of technology to a large in-person and virtual audience. Ooffle was given the opportunity to plan and execute the entire event from creative production to technical assistance. Backed by Ooffle’s production team and relevant tech setup for the event was provided, and the end result could only be described as spectacular.

The 4-day event was held in three different locations where our team worked closely with A*STAR to conceptualise the layout and creative direction of each conference room. where they were separately live streamed out. The client requested multiple LED walls and graphics content, which our team prepared and set up successfully. We were also in charge of the event’s audio and sound system where we ensured the speakers and audience had a clear visual and audio experience throughout the event. 

The Ooffle team was also given the responsibility to plan and manage the full programming and logistics of the event. Our meticulous team ensured that each day of the event ran smoothly with the relevant speakers and presentations starting and ending on time. We were also in charge of the logistics during the event registration. On the final day of the event, we welcomed Mr Alvin Tan, who holds the designation of Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry, to give the opening address.  

It was a hybrid event where we integrated both live streaming services and live zoom call services. We set up cameras and audio devices as needed for the live streaming services; this was done in real time during the event itself as about 100 guests and speakers from all around the world dialed in to have face-to-face conversations with each other. 

As the hybrid conference was broadcasted to industry professionals from all over the world, the Ooffle team was also responsible for the live streaming of the event. We managed and executed the technical tasks to ensure the virtual audiences could experience the conference from their homes.

We were also in charge of the main website including the 3D exhibition page. It utilized a dynamic scene made in-house through the use of multiple cameras at multiple angles in order to present it as a proper exhibition hall, complete with all the bells and whistles, similar to what one might find in a place like the Metaverse. We also created the virtual event microsites, inclusive of various interactive booths for the event-goers to navigate through and learn more about A*Star as an organization, as well as the conference itself. We implemented a live chat functionality into each interactive booth such that the agents could connect and communicate with the guests; this kept user engagement at an all-time high throughout the event.

Our 3D FX team further ensured that the visual effects and graphics used during the conference were of the highest quality. We particularly focused on our client’s requests, using the inputs that they had given us to meticulously select every single effect and graphic used. All of the visual effects were highly cohesive, and our top priority was to make sure that the show flowed smoothly. Everything had to blend together perfectly, and nothing was spared to reach that end goal.

The event was a resounding success. With attendees from all over the world joining us for zoom call dial-ins, interactive booth visits and more, it was nothing short of spectacular. Our teams were extremely professional in handling the event, and the end result showed.
